ShortenVideo / Privacy
Privacy
This policy explains what ShortenVideo collects and — just as importantly — what it does not. The short version: your video files never leave your device, and we store almost nothing about you.
Your video files. All processing happens locally in your browser. Videos are not uploaded to our servers or to any third party, at any point, in any mode. When you close the tab, nothing remains because nothing was ever sent.
Account data. If you sign in — which is only required for files larger than 2 GB — we store the account identifier, display name and email address from the sign-in provider, plus a session cookie that keeps you logged in. You can sign out at any time.
Export audit records. For paid exports of files over 2 GB, we keep a minimal audit record so your point balance is deducted exactly once per export. The record contains: the file extension (never the file name), the file size, the video duration, the cutting mode, and the number of points charged. It contains no video content and no file name.
Anonymous usage events. To understand which browser features fail on which devices, the tool may record anonymous funnel events (for example, that a file was selected and processed) with no file data and no account link.
Operational logs. We keep minimal operational logs (request timestamps and error records) to keep the service healthy and to prevent abuse.
Your choices. You can sign out to end your session, or contact us to request deletion of everything tied to your account, including audit records.
Changes. If this policy changes materially, we will update this page and, where appropriate, notify you inside the product.
